Community matters. Help make sure every voice is heard
The Independent Commission on Community and Cohesion is inviting you to join its National Conversation on the UK's communal life. This is an exciting opportunity to take part in a major public listening exercise and shape a national 'shared vision' of how we can live well together.
A major UK-wide listening exercise asking people about their experiences of community life, which runs from 20 April to the end of August 2026. Across the UK, communities feel more fragmented. People are growing up and growing older with fewer spaces to meet, mix and build connections. And too often, the people closest to these changes feel they have no say in what comes next — the National Conversation wants to change that.
The insights and data gained through the National Conversation will form part of the Independent Commission on Community & Cohesion's report and recommendations, which will be published at the end of the year.
