Public Consultation on Wrexham Council's Draft Toilet Strategy

Thank you for joining us for this important consultation regarding our draft Public Toilet Strategy. Access to clean, safe, and well-maintained toilet facilities is essential for the health and well-being of our community.

This strategy addresses the current gaps in our facilities and outlines our vision for a more accessible and inclusive approach to public toilet access for all community members and visitors.

We want to be transparent about the challenges we face in expanding our public toilet facilities. Currently, the council is operating under tight budget constraints, which limit our ability to allocate funds for new facilities or significant upgrades.

While we recognise the importance of adequate public toilet access for our community, any expansions would require careful planning and additional resources. We are committed to exploring alternative solutions, such as partnerships or grants, to improve our facilities within our current budget limitations.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to share any ideas or suggestions you may have for making the most of our existing resources. Your perspectives will help shape a strategy that meets the needs of our community. Together, we can work to create a framework that ensures everyone has access to safe and dignified toilet facilities.

As well as inviting comment regarding the content of the document, we would also appreciate input concerning clarity. Are the key points easy to understand? Is the language clear and accessible?

The strategy will be reviewed at least every two years after the last publication date. Wrexham CBC will also review the local toilet strategy within a year of each ordinary election for its area.
